I began this program on December 18th, 2006. I decided to start my new way of living life when I weighed for the first time in months and saw the scale read 320 pounds. I remembered when I tipped the scale at 295 six months earlier and swore I wound never get above 300 pounds. Well I did. And that's not good.
Since I started the program I have lost 35 pounds. I now weigh 285 and my goal is to weigh 230. Maybe less. But that's my target weight.
If you're reading this blog for the first time, I encourage you to go back to the beginning and at least read all the reasons I want to and will lose this weight. If you read all the old posts, please keep in mind that the scale I first was weighing in on decided to malfunction and was giving my much lower weights about a month and a half into the program that were not correct. I have not changed those posts.
My program is two 16 ounce protein shakes a day, six days a week. What ever the family eats for dinner is what I eat for dinner. A sensible snack in the evening and regular diet on Sundays.
I was working out three times a week through mid February. I haven't worked out recently but hope to beginning again. I think playing with my kids outside is almost as good of a work out.
Some of the highlights of the program so far include hearing comments from some people who don't know or were not told I was doing a program. And having some clothes fit better than before. I now where I size 2x where three months ago I was wearing a 3x.
