Right now I'm hoping to lose 10 pounds by late September. That's when my parents are coming down for a visit from Minnesota.
A couple of highlights...
- The belt I bought a few months ago when I used all the holes in my old belt is now coming close to having to be replaced;
- I started with this current belt on the first hole and I'm now on hole #4 (sometimes #5);
- I can comfortable wear size 46 waist pants and believe I will be wearing 44 waist pants within another couple of months;
- I can now purchase Double Xtra large shirts instead of Triple Xtra large. I soon will be wearing Xtra Large;
- My almost constant knee pain is nonexistent.;
- My stamina is more than doubled when playing disc golf or when I'm outside playing with the kids;
- People I have not seen since moving to Iowa are now noticing I'm losing weight;
- I can treat myself to a little extra and not worry;
- My focus and concentration is a long term goal and results is a great teaching tool for my children and clients (there's no way to have long term success if you're wanting short term results)
- I can slide down the slides at playgrounds without getting stuck (a bit embarrassing)
- Waiting Room chairs with arms are no longer intimidating;
- AND weight limits on folding chairs will no longer be an issue...
I really must thank Troy who owns the GNC in Spencer, IA has being a great help in getting me on this program. He is the one that recommended the protein (Maximum Protein...the best tasting protein on the market) and the vitamin regiment that keeps me getting the right things in my body without a lot of calories. He also is the most knowledgeable person I know when it comes to the right plan for the right person. If you email me, I will get you his contact information so you, too, can order items from him and get his expertise.
I also must thank my wife Sara. She has gone to extra lengths to find and make low calorie meals and snacks. And she has done a great job in keeping me focused. Makes me love her even more.

That is fan-tastic. Congratulations on all you have accomplished so far. It's nice to see the things you are celebrating in addition to the number on the scale. Brings tears to my eyes. If SB wants some good low-cal recipes, I have many many many.
GREAT POST!! I love the list of things that you have noticed. I love how much you love your wife! Your boys have a great example of how to treat and cherish a woman.
Very wonderful. I am very happy for you with your success. As "J" states, "Brings tears to my eyes." - Truly. This is a wonderful gift you give yourself and your family.
