Frame of Mind

I received a comment today from a reader who says they love reading this blog and one day it will be them loosing the weight. And I must say that there is a right and a wrong time for these type challenges.

I know that I worried about my weight for several months (i mean really worried) and before that I had some concerns. Then I stepped on the scale and I was heavier than ever before (that I actually knew the weight) and I was wearing size 50 waist pants and wondering when would it end. And that was the point I decided to make changes. Not a fad diet. Not quick 'drop weight' only to gain it back. But a time to really make changes.

I had already had conversations with my GNC guy and I had already made up my mind I was going with the protein and Hoodia to get started. And it has been so successful that I decided I needed to continue on that program. And I realize now this is a life change and protein shakes for one meal or two meals every day is only way I can keep the weight off with out having to count calories every meal every day.

My 16 ounce protein shake with water is 220 calories. With milk, a bit more. So on most days by the time dinner rolls around I've only had 440 calories. And dinner is (and should always be) a smaller helping than in the past with no seconds. And at the beginning no snacking. I do have some snacks now. All low calorie snacks. Lots of fruits and veggies.

Anyway...when your time is right, I'll be here...giving encouragement and advice. I do believe if I can do it, so can you.
