I think a protein diet with a decent vitamin is a real winner for weight loss. It has worked for me. One thing that makes a difference is good tasting protein. Not all protein tastes the same. Case in point...after my parents came on a visit recently they changed from the protein they were using to my kind of protein because it tasted better AND it was a lot less expensive.
If you try a high protein diet and it means protein shakes if you find the protein you're buying doesn't taste very good, try another brand before quiting.
Good protein makes this type of program much easier.
