No snacking

I made it through last night with no snacks after dinner before bed. Of course it helps that I laid down with my three year-old and fell asleep. But I did notice this morning.

Normally I have a 100 calorie pack snack, some fruit or a little protein shake. More out of habit than hunger. And I need to keep telling myself I don't need it.

When I first started my protein shake program I didn't do any snacking for quite some time. And it made an immediate impact. And I was working out several times a week.

I remember doing my shakes with only water, having just tiny portions at dinner and no snacks...ever for a couple of months. And the works outs were intense. And I dropped weight very quickly.

Lately I have been having more small snacks and sometimes even having seconds at dinner. And I have been maintaining more than loosing. So with the holidays upon us it is time to put all the snacking aside and get back to the way I did it in the beginning so if I decide for the extra bit of turkey or snack at that Christmas party that I don't end up being heavier than I am right now.

Self Control. That's what the focus needs to be. Self Control.
