Yesterday afternoon I ended up driving to Anderson, which is 25 miles South of where we live, to a Lens Crafters to get my glasses fixed. I waited until the boys went down for a nap so left right around lunchtime. The only thing is I didn't have any lunch.
I got to Lens Crafters and got my glasses fixed. The next stop was the radio station to work on something for my wife. So as I'm driving back toward Seneca I realize I am hungry. I want to get to the station to get thing done and home so I didn’t want to take a lot of time find a place to eat. This is the time(s) that fast food becomes the easiest places to eat from. The only thing is I didn't want the grease or the calories (I understand most serve salads but I wanted something easy and Salads aren't easy when you're driving) and that is when I realized there are very few choices of places to eat that are A-Healthy; B-Fast; C-Inexpensive.
I ended up having a low cal Subway 6" sub for lunch with a diet Coke.
Anyway...it is a battleground out there for anyone serious about losing weight and eating healthier. And for those that are either unable or unwilling to make and pack their own lunches each day, I don't know if there is a prayer in the world that is going to give them the strength to pass by tons of Fast Food choices to fin d the one place that has healthier choices. And I have nothing against Subway...but there needs to be other choices.

is this what they mean when they say this is the "battle of the bulge?"
you won yesterday adam..good job...
it's like a person is changing a lifetime of habits....and that includes where we stop for lunch on the run...
you made a good choice though...and it would be nice to have other choices for variety and health.....
