Hard getting on track

I've had a hard time getting back on track. While I've done better lately, I still find my focus not what it needs to be. I'm not craving as much and I'm not as hungry...but when I do eat, I'm tending to eat a little more than I should. Almost like I'm feeling guilty for letting food go to waste.

Reminds me of requesting a child clear their plate before having dessert. If they've eaten some of the meal, you know, the good stuff, there no point in making them finish a full meal before getting dessert. I think that promotes over eating. I don't think one should have to eat too much food just to get the dessert. The reward needs to be having eaten the health portion of the meal, or at least part of it, to get to dessert.

Recently my 4 year-old only wants to eat peanut butter sandwiches. It has protein and isn't bad. He also will eat banana for snacks with no problems and likes oatmeal. While I might wish he eat more veggies and other fruits, the above overall diet is not bad for a 4 year-old.
