Focus, Focus, Focus

I think that's the main goal. Focus. As I fought of temptation this afternoon I thought...I need to focus.

I wanted a McDonald's Cheeseburger. And I kept on telling myself, "You have the money and one cheeseburger won't hurt..." I focused on the over all goal. And you know what? One cheeseburger wouldn't hurt. But it wasn't in the plan. And one slip can lead to another and so on. So focus on the long term goal. The long term goal of course is overall health. And loosing 90 pounds. I'm half way there. I wouldn't take a chance with a cheeseburger. Especially one from McDonald's. If I'm going to slip...please let it be with something other than McDonald's.

Good for you. I, on the other hand, was not that good. I had a DQ cheeseburger this afternoon. But I did only eat about 8 fries. Interestingly, I thought that cheeseburger would taste really good since I have been eating so much chicken and turkey lately and hardly any beef at all, but it really wasn't very satisfying. I am finding that to be very helpful in my overall plan. I have slipped and had some things that are not good for me, and then realized that it wasn't even worth it! I prefer to eat the "new" food that I have been eating, and I feel better too. I guess it really is a process isn't it? But it's a good thing that I don't get competitive! I would be LOSING!!

Good for you. I totally agree. If you're going to slip, please let it be on something better than McDonald's! That is really great that you could do that. I was not as fortunate today. I really have to eat more often. When I get really hungry, I want quick and bad for me.
