This week I have two days where I will be faced with eating lunch with a group and not in a position to bring my shake with me. Yesterday I had leadership training off site and today I have lunch with folks from my Home Office.
So I need to be aware of how much I eat while in dangerous settings and make sure I don't have too much to eat when I have dinner at home in the evenings.
In the past I used to just forgo dinner with the family and have a shake. But now I prefer to sit with the kids and eat. I might need to go back to having a shake in the evenings on days like these.
On the positive side I was at 258 yesterday morning. I just need to find a way to continue to lose. I seem to have hit a floor right now and haven't been able to drop anymore over the past 6 months.
At least I'm not putting on any more weight.

I agree it can be really tough when it's a work-related event where food is involved. It gets even harder around the holiday season. Sometimes I have even opted to just skip certain events rather than face what I know will be the inevitable temptation to eat food that is not in my plan, but that is not always possible when it comes to work.
However, if you can't completely control everything on the input side, there is always the output side to consider. With work and the family, you are probably really busy, but one possible solution might be to try to squeeze in some extra exercise. They say that three 10-minute sessions of walking is just as good as half an hour straight, and that can be easier to fit in one's schedule.
Anyway, hang in there!
Good luck! I'll be interested to hear how you do.
