Where are you at?

Now that the holidays are over (marked the day my kids and wife go back to school) how did you do? The holidays are a difficult time when you're trying to lose weight. And it is easy to decide to put off any weight loss goals or plans until the holidays are over. Which in some cases can mean having to lose more weight that you needed to lose before the holidays. And for some that isn't so hard and for others it makes losing weight seem so much more difficult.

I am please that I didn't gain over the holidays. I wish I had lost more weight. But since we have gotten past all the holiday gatherings I have lost a couple of pounds and for that I am happy.

As I look toward 2008 I know my battle will be more difficult. I'm close to the lowest weight I have been in several years. And as the weight loss continues I face new struggles and obstacles that I didn't consider or wasn't fully aware of that would give me reason to think and new goals to establish.

One thing I now face is all the left over skin. When you lose weight your skin doesn't go anywhere. And that is something that I was not prepared to deal with. It won't stop me from trying to lose weight but it still plays with my mind. Just another obstacle to deal with.

one thing leads to another doesn't it? it is like much of life...seems like each decision we make leads to another decision..if we solve one problem another one often pops up in its place..and we just keep going knowing we are on the right path..we sure have to believe in ourselves and our goals..you will keep on keeping on because you made one important decison a year ago...that decision doesn't have to be re-made...how you are going to reach it and what you have to do is full of surprises though...
