We're moving in a couple of weeks to a house closer to my wife's work. It will be $450 less per month than we're paying now. The only thing that won't be as beneficial is it is a smaller house than we live in now and smaller than any house we've lived in since we were a family of three. I think everything will be fine...it will just take some time get used to being so close together.
On the positive side we are cleaning...the house we live in now. That means throwing things away and organizing...our stuff. With a move in May 2006 to Iowa and then a move in May 2007 to South Carolina, we've done this a lot lately.
One of the great things this time is I'm getting rid of a lot of clothes. Clothes that no longer fit my because they are too big. I have in a stack for Good Will that are all my triple extra large sweaters and long sleeve shirts and all my 46, 48 and 50 inch waist pants and jeans.
The one that was real exciting is the 58 long sports coat that is now too big. The current sports coat I wear is a 48 Long and that is a little too big now.
This is some progress you can see!

that is really something ad....all the moves and getting rid of old clothes that are simply too big and don't fit anymore..
I hope your move goes as flawlessly as it can and I know your new home will be filled with all the love you bring to it..just by being you.......all of you!
